Sauna

An authentic cedar cube sauna that seats four to six, just off the back patio.

The cedar outdoor sauna on the pool patio

Getting started

The controls are on the touchscreen on the sauna porch (outside). If it's off, press and hold the power button (lower-right) for 3–5 seconds. Tap the timer button lightly to set your session length (allow up to 30 minutes to preheat), and tap the temperature to adjust. The screen shows both the current and target temps. The touchscreen wants light, short taps; if it stops responding, power-cycle it. Lighting is on the remote.

A good temperature

150–175°F is the sweet spot. Start lower if you're new to it. Beginners, keep sessions to 5–10 minutes; most guests do 10–20.

Stay safe

  • Step out if you feel dizzy or overheated, and cool down slowly afterward.
  • Hydrate before and after. No alcohol, drugs, or medication before or during.
  • Supervise children. Don't use the sauna if pregnant or under medical care without a doctor's okay.
  • Don't sleep in the sauna.

The heater

Keep your distance, it gets very hot. Nothing on the heater (no towels or objects), and only a small splash of water on the rocks (about 3–6 oz max). Never oils, alcohol, or other liquids.

During & after

Sit on a towel; the benches and floor can get slippery. When you're done, leave the door slightly open to air it out, and rinse at the outdoor shower by the sauna before heading into the pool, spa, or house.

Not allowed

  • No food, smoking, or glass.
  • No tampering with the controls, and no excessive water on the rocks.
The full manufacturer's manual (Lennon Sauna User Manual) is on site if you want the complete details.
