Game Room & Sim Racing

A desert-mural game room with two-cockpit sim racing, a pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, and board games.

The two-cockpit sim racing setup
Sim racing is a serious hobby and can be a lot for first-timers, with no tech support on site. If you just want to play, start simple.

If you're new to it

Try the pre-loaded Dirt Rally 2.0 or Forza Horizon 5 on your own. For something casual, use Need for Speed with the standard Xbox controller. (Tip: ask an AI assistant for the basics.) Head-to-head racing across both cockpits takes more game knowledge.

What's in here

Two Xbox Series S consoles, two Logitech G923 force-feedback wheel-and-pedal sets, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Each cockpit has its own racing seat, wheel, pedals, noise-canceling headphones, and a 55-inch TV. Only Game Pass titles can be downloaded (nothing that needs a PIN), and downloads can take hours.

Starting a console

Use the Roku remote to turn on the TV, pick Xbox from the app list, then power the Xbox from its controller, holding the Xbox logo until it lights up.

House rules for the gear

  • Use the pre-loaded guest profiles only, and don't create your own.
  • Don't delete games or change controller/system settings.
  • Handle the controllers gently.
  • Leave the TVs, consoles, and racing seats in place; only the seat slider moves.
  • When you're done: headsets on their hooks, controllers and remotes back on the TV stands.
  • Damage or misuse may be charged.

Pool table & shuffleboard

Return the cue sticks to the holding table by the sink and rack the balls at the start. If the shuffleboard pucks stop sliding, sprinkle (don't pour) a little of the special sand. It's in the seasoning-shaker-looking bottle near the table.
