Firepit & Grill

Two gas fire features and a BBQ grill out back, all on propane, with spare tanks on the back patio and main deck.

Firepit

Leave the tank valve ON. Light it following the printed instructions on the side, and turn the dial to OFF when you're done.

Take the cover off. Turn the gas on slowly at the tank (counterclockwise, too fast trips the regulator) and open the lid. Push in the left burner knob, turn to HIGH, and click the ignition until it lights; if it doesn't catch in 3–5 seconds, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, and try again. Light the other burners off the first.

When you're finished: all knobs OFF, tank valve OFF, brush the grates, and cover it once it's fully cool.

Swapping a propane tank

Open the side access door, turn the gas valve OFF, unscrew the black plastic connector, swap in a spare, reconnect, and open the valve. Empties go in the exercise room by the water softener. If every tank is empty, message the host for backup access.

If you ever smell gas or hear hissing, turn everything off, step away, and wait for it to clear before doing anything else.
